Pricing Analyst

Details: Division: Mortgage FlsaStatus: Non-Exempt EmploymentType: Regular GENERAL FUNCTIONResponsible for ensuring accuracy of all pricing in origination systems, processing special price requests, applying secondary marketing rate pricing policy, and handling of special exceptions to the policy as appropriate. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES* Ensures daily pricing in systems is consistent with published rates, importing pricing information and verifying accuracy. * Ensures pricing adjustments are accurate and consistent with published adjustments. * Processes any special price requests and exceptions not covered by origination system. * Thoroughly understands and applies Secondary Marketing Pricing Policy and product manuals. * Handles complex inquiries from internal customers regarding area activity and handles exceptions as appropriate. * Evaluates for accuracy and registers loan requests from affiliates. * Responsible for understanding and effectively communicating the 'Secondary Marketing Pricing Policy' and the 'Fifth Third Mortgage Product Manual' to Affiliates. * Provides back up for Registration Manager when needed. * Trains new personnel in registration. * Reviews exception pricing requests and determines/obtains approvals as needed. * Provides excellent customer service to all mortgage customers including those with special needs. * Develops and generates, and monitors reports used to mitigate risk associated with rate lock policy exceptions. * Excels in professional and effective communication through e-mail and phone interactions. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: NoneExperienceMINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED* College degree or equivalent work experience * Minimum of 2 years mortgage or financial experience. * Good understanding of secondary marketing policies and procedures. * Strong interpersonal skills and customer service skills. * Read, write, and interpret policies/procedures * Telephone skills, written and verbal communication skills * Microsoft Office required. * Good mathematic ability and analytical skills, and attention to detail.
