Details: Materials Manager Northeast Indiana company is looking for Materials Manager that will manage the purchasing, inventory control, and logistics functions for the facility. (Commutable candidates only) Provides support to production scheduling on all material flow issues to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Interfaces with sales, production and customers on the planning and forecasting of orders to meet shipments. Monitors and maintains the adherence to both internal and external shipping process requirements. Specific Responsibilities are as Follows: Work, directly or through employees with customers, production and suppliers to effectively remove barriers and resolve critical supply situations/problem to ensure key relationships are maintained. Develop and implements plans to meet or exceed established metrics in the function area of responsibility (inventory turns, customer satisfaction ratings, supplier delivery performance). Supervise and manager the performance and development of employees within the department. Overall responsibility for shipping and receiving employees, including scheduling and purchasing. Administer Company policy for transportation, scheduling and inventory control. Organize annual physical inventory and assists with variance analysis. Provide forecasts and actual customer sales. Oversees and conducts ongoing cycle counts for raw, WIP and finishing good s inventory. Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, SOP’s and OSHA regulations. Manage purchasing functions, determine requirements, and issue all orders.
