(For more information on Cincinnati: http://www.cincinnatichamber.com/liv.aspx ).The Material Analyst/Global Buyer will plan material requirements by analyzing data to determine the quantity and date materials are needed to ensure optimal inventory levels and on time delivery to end customer. This associate will work closely with global and domestic vendors to ensure accurate processing of purchase orders and timely delivery of merchandise. This position also includes daily interaction with intercompany departments to ensure accurate current and future material demand as well as assisting with the compilation of weekly inventory vs. forecast reporting and monthly S&OP reporting.                                                                                                                       Major responsibilities will include:  Monitor and maintain stock levels for product categories as assigned by management. Quote accurate customer delivery information for new forecasted items, issue monthly purchase orders to global suppliers, and work with those suppliers on delivery. Initiate a monthly forecast to each global supplier to outline future demand. Exhibit good judgment and analytical skills regarding past usage, current demand and future forecast to determine the proper usage levels for inventory planning. Work with our global suppliers to maximize manufacturing capacities staying within required inventory guidelines. Transfer necessary inventory from US distribution center locations as inventory dictates. Provide and maintain regularly scheduled reports and evaluations of inventory and supplier performance.
