Details: Supplier Quality Engineer Experis Engineering is seeking a Supplier Engineer. The ideal Engineer will be responsible for component qualification- support for development and validation of a micro-molded component at an external vendor. This is a contract opportunity that can either sit in San Jose, CA or Fremont, CA sites. The Supplier Engineer will be responsible for: • Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements. • Injection molding (preferably micromolding) • Mold design • Polymer knowledge • Validation • Statistics (sampling plans, Ppk) • Process FMEA • First Article/Component Qualification activities • Test method validation. The Supplier Engineer will meet the minimum requirements: Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Polymer or Chemical Engineering 5+ Years medical device industry experience Supply chain experience preferred- Supplier Quality Engineering, Supplier Engineering, possibly Manufacturing Engineering Specific experience in micro-molding highly desirable Good oral and written communications skills will be essential- this position will require interaction with internal project leadership and suppliers.
