Details: VIZ Media is looking for a Purchasing & Logistics Coordinator to join our Finance team! • 2-3 years of practical business experience• Experience in an international environment a PLUS. • Experience in a publishing environment a PLUS.• Experience in Print/Optical Disc/Home Entertainment Product Packaging procurement a PLUS.• Knowledge of competitive and lawful bidding and awarding requirements is a PLUS.• Understanding of the regulatory factors governing purchasing such as UCC, antitrust laws, and ethical principles a PLUS.SUMMARYThe P&L Coordinator assists the Director of Purchasing in planning and implementing of the plans, policies, and procedures related to the purchasing, supply management, and logistics of order management with a focus to strike an optimal balance between cost, quality, delivery and services.PRINCIPAL DUTIES1. Assists Director of Purchasing with establishing, communicating, and maintaining company-wide purchasing policies and procedures2. Responsible for correct coding of expenditures to proper general ledger account and title coding3. Solves internal coding issues4. Issues approved purchase orders to vendors5. Processes purchase order change requests6. Issues shipping instructions in accordance with compliance issues at receiving warehouses7. Assists Director of Purchasing with process of soliciting, evaluating, and selecting potential suppliers based on best practices8. Performs monthly closing of purchasing module in accounting system9. Handles daily and weekly order processing and fulfillment of direct sales accounts10. Receives against purchase orders and monitor receipts based on documentation 11. Keeps records of purchasing, receiving and logistical coordination, electronically and in physical documentation.12. Reconcile inventory level in accounting system with physical warehouse inventory monthly basis13. Generates work orders for special assembling projects at warehouse14. Maintains high levels of integrity and customer service (internal and external)In addition to these responsibilities, performs other activities as assigned
