Details: Film Buyer Summary Blockbuster is moving to the Denver area! As a part of the move, we are looking for a Buyer. The ideal candidates will have demonstrated ability to execute and embrace the challenge to rebuild an iconic brand around a new future to support the current the business and continue to move Blockbuster forward. Assess product for stores and recommend purchases to create revenue, and maximize profits in the stores. Job Duties and Responsibilities Evaluate film product for its' potential to generate sales and maximize profits by meeting with and evaluating vendor's product lines. Assist in long term buying strategies such as ordering, shipping, marketing, merchandising, advertising, and sales analysis. Work with the Marketing Department to develop programs/campaigns to drive performance in the category. Negotiate co-op, pricing, and returns with manufacturers. Analyze and act on a variety of information concerning product performance on a day-to-day basis
