Details: Global SourcingHydraulics & Mechanical ComponentsThe Mechanical & Supply Centers, Sourcing Department is part of the overall Vestas Global Sourcing organisation. It is primarily based in Århus, Denmark, and responsible for Vestas Global supplier base. The Department is split into four System areas of which Hydraulics & Mechanical Components is one. This System area is responsible for Categories: Hydraulics, Lubricants, Lubrication Systems, Yaw Gears & Motors, Ventilation, Cooling & Heating Systems, Internal Crane and Safety Equipment. The Hydraulics & Mechanical Components team is a relatively young team of 13 people located in Denmark, China, India and USA, Whereas 5 people are dedicated to the Hydraulics Category.We are responsible for developing the supply base short, medium & long term with a view to always be able to satisfy requirements (KPIs) re. safety, quality, delivery and cost and thereby contribute actively to improve the competitive strength of the Group. Leading and driving improvement to Total Cost of Ownership is imperative. Responsibilities:Responsible for KPI fulfilment on own supplier portfolio Participate in Category Management Team(s) Participate in Strategy development Lead negotiations/develop negotiation strategies Coordinate and align efforts/initiatives with SCM colleagues Support factory buyers on any issues with suppliers, interface to factories Qualifications:M.Sc. in Engineering, M.Sc. in Economics & Business Administration or a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration or other relevant education. In addition to that we expect that: You have minimum 2 years of strategic purchase experience. 'Preferred, but not required', experience within Hydraulics. You are a strong communicator who are experienced in negotiating contracts on a high professional level in an industrial company You master English both verbally and in writing You are an experienced IT user (Microsoft Office)Competencies:You are action-oriented and motivated by participating in setting the agenda You are result-oriented, persistent and strong in navigating in a varied and challenging working environment You are a team player with excellent collaboration skills (you will have a very broad interface - both internally and externally - and will work closely with people from all over the organisation and on all organisational levels) You are dynamic and proactive - and you seek out new tasks and challenges on your own initiative and are ready to take the lead and make a special effort You are structured and systematic - you are excellent at making plans, prioritising and follow up with focus on quality You are change-oriented and used to adapt according to the development in the company and in the department Additional information:The position involves approximately 40 days of travelling.
